Featuring: 

Welcome to Big Oaks Cottages, a peaceful  cottage resort, with strong emphasis on family values. You  will feel right at home from the minute you arrive until the time you leave. We live right on the premises and are  there for you, if you have any needs.

We believe in providing  clean and comfortable cottages at a reasonable price.   We also have tried to do away with the "musty  old cottage" image by building 6 modern and comfortable cottages with many luxuries you are used to at home. 
Like many of our guests, you too, will  be very surprised to see what we have to offer.

We are conveniently located. Just a 2 minute walk from sandy Beach 6, and also a 2 minute walk to Zehrs Plaza, for all your groceries and personal needs.
The (Downtown) "WASAGA STRIP" is an 8-9 minute drive from our cottages.
Downtown Collingwood is only 13 km from our place and we have many guests for the ski season. They prefer to drive a bit, and save a lot in accommodation expenses.

Living Room The living rooms are quite roomy and bright. All come with a TV VCR and a pull out sofa. 
The area is separated but not isolated from the kitchen. 
Fire places were a tremendous bonus said our guests.
Queen size bed Most cottages come with a queen size bed. We want you to be comfortable on a warm day and have a refreshing sleep without feeling like sardines packed in a small can.
The 2 and 3 bedroom cottages have double beds in the other bedrooms. One 1-bedroom cottage has 2 double beds.
Kitchen in 2 Bedr. Cottage The kitchen area. Should a kitchen be small and dinky? We did not think so. All our kitchens come with fridge, stove, pots and pans, cutlery. Yes, we thought about a coffee maker and a toaster too, even a microwave oven.
Bathroom with tub The smallest room in the cottage. It may be small but we managed to make it a full 4 piece bathroom, including anti-scorching valves for safety. 
We have been very surprised to find out, how many adults and children appreciate a bath and not just a shower.
Deck Our decks have been an instant hit. Right from the start, our guests have appreciated being outside on a nice day to relax or to cook. 
Sometimes, just to get away and be alone for a while. 
Deck & BBQ BBQs are included. Every cottage has its own BBQ at no additional charge. We also  erected a privacy fence to assure  safety and privacy  for your children. Yes, we allow children to visit too. 
The sandy beaches are very safe. Children really enjoy  themselves on the longest freshwater beach in the world.  
Sunsets are out of this world to watch.
This is a 1-bedroom cottage This is the front of our 1 Bedroom Cottage. A bit smaller but very cozy and private. Ideal for smaller families. 
This cottage is very popular for an intimate weekend get-away during the off-season. It has been frequently used too by those on their honeymoon. (please do not disturb...)

Amenities...

All cottages come with TV, VCR, BBQ, sofa in living room, 4 pc. bathroom. 
Most cottages have 1 queen size bed.  1-1 bedroom cottage (#5), has 2 double beds. 
We supply pillows and blankets. Our clients look after their own bed sheets and towels. 
Kitchens are fully equipped. Pots, dishes, cutlery, fridge and stove, coffee maker etc.
 We have excellent drinking water from the wells of the Town of Wasaga Beach.
Play yard for the children.
